Corrections policy
We want our articles to be accurate. If you think something is wrong, missing or out of date, please let us know.
How to report an error
Send us a message through the contact form. Please include the address of the page, the sentence you think is wrong and, if possible, a source that supports the correction.
What we do next
- An editor checks your report against the article’s sources, normally within 14 days.
- Clinical points may be passed to our clinical reviewer.
- If the article is wrong, we correct it. If the error changed the meaning in a way that matters to readers (for example a risk, a time frame or a regulatory fact), we add a dated note at the end of the article explaining what was changed.
- Small fixes such as spelling or broken links are made without a note.
If you gave us your email address, we will tell you what we decided. We do not remove accurate information because a clinic or a reader asks us to.
