Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This policy explains what happens to personal data collected through dentalimplantturkey.co (“Dental Implant Turkey”, “we”, “us”). It is written for readers in the United Kingdom and follows the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Dental Implant Turkey is an independent information website about dental implant treatment in Turkey for people living in the UK. We are not a dental clinic, we do not employ dentists and we do not provide treatment or medical advice. For questions about this policy or your data, use our contact form and choose “privacy request” in your message.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through the enquiry forms on this site:
- your full name, email address and telephone number;
- the message you write (optional);
- the page you sent the form from, the date and time, and the fact that you ticked the consent box;
- technical data needed to stop spam and abuse (for example your IP address and browser type, kept only in server and security logs).
Please do not send detailed medical history, X-rays or photographs through the form. If you choose to mention health information, it is special category data under the UK GDPR, and we process it only on the basis of your explicit consent, given when you send the form, so that the clinic can answer your question.
Why we use your data and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Passing your enquiry to our partner clinic so it can reply to you | Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)); explicit consent for any health information you include (Article 9(2)(a)) |
| Answering questions about the website, corrections and privacy requests | Our legitimate interest in running the website and responding to readers (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Keeping the site secure and filtering spam | Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Keeping a record of your consent | Legal obligation to be able to show consent (Article 6(1)(c) and Article 7(1)) |
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Who receives your details
- Özel Natural Clinic Tıp Merkezi, a private medical and dental centre owned by Natural Estetik ve Sağlık Hizmetleri A.Ş., Ataköy 7-8-9-10. Kısım, E5 Yanyol Cad. No: 8/2/4, Bakırköy, İstanbul, Türkiye. If you send a treatment enquiry, the clinic receives your name, contact details and message and may contact you by email, telephone or WhatsApp. The clinic decides how it uses your data for its own consultations and is responsible for that use under Turkish data protection law (KVKK, Law No. 6698).
- The service provider that hosts our enquiry management system and our web hosting and security providers (including Cloudflare), who process data on our instructions.
- Public authorities, only where the law requires it.
We explain the commercial relationship with the clinic on our page How this site is funded.
Transfers outside the UK
When your enquiry is passed to the clinic, your data is transferred to Türkiye. The UK government has not made “adequacy regulations” for Türkiye, which means Turkish law is not formally recognised as giving the same level of protection as UK law. The transfer happens only because you ask us to put you in touch with the clinic and give your explicit consent on the form after being told about this (UK GDPR Article 49(1)(a)). Our technical service providers may also process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on the safeguards they offer, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, where applicable.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months after your last contact with us, then delete them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Security logs are kept for a shorter period. The clinic sets its own retention periods for data it receives.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send your data to you or another organisation in a portable format.
You can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect anything done before you withdrew it, but we will stop passing new information to the clinic and will ask it to stop contacting you. We reply to requests within one month. To make a request, use our contact form.
Cookies and similar technologies
- Enquiry pop-up: a small cookie remembers that you have seen or closed the enquiry pop-up so it is not shown again for a few days. It holds no personal details.
- Table of contents: a cookie may remember whether you opened or closed an article’s table of contents.
- Cloudflare: our security provider may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site from bots, and its Web Analytics service counts page views without cookies.
- Telephone field: the country-code selector on the form is loaded from the jsDelivr content network, which receives your IP address when the script loads.
We do not use advertising or social media tracking cookies.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
